Black Horse Does a variety of food during the week along with a Sunday lunch menu and takeaway fish and chips.

SQ Bar and Restaurant Casual fine dining in the middle of Braunton.

The Corner Bistro A fantastically high quality French restaurant.

The Riverside Good food all day with a particularly good beef sandwich for lunch. Breakfast is from 8.45am.

The Agricultural Inn My favourite Sunday carvery and a variety of food during the week.

At One A wonderful cafe and restaurant in the middle of the village. Watch out for their fabulous tapas special on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. And a cocktail menu on offer.

Wild Thyme Cafe A wonderful family run café in the middle of the village. Check out their Facebook page for specials.

Trimstone Manor Country House A beautiful manor house providing accommodation, food and a venue for weddings.

Williams Arms Great for  a quiet cooked breakfast or a carvery on Sunday.

The Kings Arms Gastro pub with top food and great atmosphere in lovely Georgeham. You will need to book. See rave review from The Independent

Squires Fish Restaurant The famous fish and chip shop in Braunton and rightly so. Great quality food.

South Sixteen Another great fish and chip shop in Braunton. They also let you place an order in advance.

Good Fortune Chinese Takeaway A great Chinese takeaway on Caen Street. Fantastic crispy duck and also crispy beef. Highly recommended.

Hong Kong Chef Chinese Takeaway Nice Chinese takeaway on the Exeter Road. They do a good crispy chilli beef.

Surf and Turf For pizza or a kebab after the pub then look no further. Ask for their Jemmy Twitcher.

There’s street and beach food in abundance in North Devon at the moment and the following is a list of those we’ve noticed or read about. The days mentioned below are generally when they are there. Phansit’s Kitchen Authentic Thai food on Wrafton Road in Braunton on many Wednesday evenings and in Fremington on Saturday evenings.

Calaca Loca Taqueria Truck serving chilli, tacos,quesadillas & salsas run by Harry. In Braunton on Friday evenings 5-8pm. You can also pre-order by telephone.

Nona’s Kitchen Authentic, home-cooked Indonesian food. Take-away from Heanton, near Braunton on Saturdays 5-8pm

Monty’s Caribbean Kitchen Caribbean food run by Patrick and Angelina. You can also pre-orders by telephone.

Barricane Beach Cafe Serving delicious home-made Sri-Lankan curries at the beach just above Woolacombe.

Miles Fish and Chips Fish and chips in the middle of Georgeham on Monday nights from 5-8pm.
